My name is Kevin Lewis and I am a French major at Washburn University with minors in International Studies and Mass Media. I am originally from a really small town that nobody has heard of. You know those ones with no stoplights and a beat up old stop sign that nobody stops at anyway? Those towns where traffic jams consist of tractors and combines that are on the roads during harvest? Those are the ones!
Maybe this is where I got my desire to travel. Throughout high school I always took advantage of every trip that I got offered. If it was to Washington D.C. then I had bought my tickets last month. If it was to Colorado then I was just put my clothes from my last trip through the laundry and back into the suitcase they went. I have always liked going to new places and seeing new things. There is just something about making sure that I have experienced something new and exciting!
I went to high school at Centre High School and to any of you who think your school is small, ours is smaller. That is one of the things I fell in love with the most though. I like the small town feeling of being here in Kansas and I know everyone. It's something that I will never forget no matter how much I want to travel.My future plans are to become involved working in International Law/International Politics. I think that this is a really great plan because I have a passion for law and politics but I also have a passion for traveling and trying to make a difference in the world.
